When Placebo first broke onto the music scene in the mid 90s they were instantly surrounded by a sexually charged atmosphere. With songs such as Nancy Boy, an androgynous singer and infamous quotes about the band being 50% straight and 50% gay though comprised of 3 members, immediately they had the attention of the world. Though at times it may have been this image that drew fans in, they've stayed for the music and come to appreciate a band that can convey a range of emotions and sounds all through their alternative rock beats.

Suckerlove is here to give you something different, something sexual, something intense, something to stimulate... the imagination and inspire creativity.
Over the years Placebo have been man enough to show the world that it's okay to love your friends and display affection in public, even if they are of the same sex! Steve Hewitt, Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal already provide a wealth of aural pleasure; as music fans we remind visitors that in no way do we take this for granted. That said as beings with a pulse we realise the state of the world is too dire to be serious all the time and thus Suckerlove takes the time to embrace love of all forms, to celebrate life, to live for the music and provides a feast for the visual senses.
