In 2003 a novel by the name of ‘Sushi Central’ was published, discussing aspects of teenage homosexual life. This novel also happens to prominetly feature many references to Placebo and as a result suckerlove thought it would be great to let you know more about it, and even ask the author, Alasdair Duncan, a few questions.
Graciously Alasdair obliged, and what you’ll read here are some FANTASTIC answers to a few questions about the current & future novels, publishing homosexual literature, the reasoning for the use of Placebo as a reference point in the novel and plenty more!
“Everyone does crazy things when they’re a teenager. Some people have big parties and trash their parents’ house, I published a novel with a thirteen-page blowjob in it.”
Thanks for the insights Alasdair, you’re a star!

News is that Kerrang has made a brief mention and congratulations to Brian Molko and Helena Berg in the ‘Stimulants’ section of their magazine. Though of note, this information is NOT official nor confirmed in any way.
“Congratulations to Brian Molko & Helena Berg with baby Cody”
If true I like to think that all Placebo fans will be respectful [in many ways] and offer their congratulations. *cheers*

Thanks to xsofplacebo.net:
To summarise, in English, though not [yet] confirmed by the official site, it’s said that in a week, maybe two, Placebo will be holding a press conference in Paris to present their NEW SINGLE and have some sort of Q & A with the music press!
So this is brilliant news for Placebo fans, hopefully we’ll get to hear a morsel of the said new single, learn its title and perhaps even the title of the fifth album!? So things are looking good for the single to be released in January 2006 and the full album [and tour?] soon to follow!
♪ Of interest to Australians, the first line up announcement for the Big Day Out 2006 music festival was announced and though fans had tipped the lads make a return appearance, so far it seems they will not.
♪ Also just to let you know that I transcribed some lyrics to Brian’s collaboration with Indochine, Pink Water, and added them to the relevant news post here.
