This coming Monday, the 17th of July, will mark the 10th anniversary of Placebo’s first, self titled, album. As you may know by now, disappointingly the date for the album’s re-release (with bonus DVD) has been postphoned until September 18th 2006.
AUSTRALIAN TOUR UPDATE: Thank you to everyone for signing the petition. If you have been listening to radio station Triple J you will have heard several interviews from sucker-love.com on Super Request.
We would like to thank the host Rosie Beaton for assisting and giving us the platform to air our cause to the nation. Disappointingly (and despite adding additional Sydney dates) the tour promoter has made it clear at this stage the petition will be unsuccessful for the 2006 tour. However the band hope to return to Australia next year and with our cause now known by the promoter, and possibly the band, I’m told every effort will be made to include SA & WA in a more extensive tour.
♥ Last week Brian was interviewed on Triple J’s Top Shelf with Robbie Buck. [Download the interview in MP3]
♥ Those with access to MTV can watch coverage of the Oxegen Festival on July 28th, 29th and 30th.
